The GI-MAP + Zonulin option adds a fecal Zonulin measurement to provide additional information about intestinal barrier permeability and gut lining integrity.
This option may be useful when your healthcare practitioner would like a broader assessment of both the microbiome and the intestinal barrier.
Zonulin should be interpreted together with your symptoms, medical history and other GI-MAP findings rather than used as a standalone diagnosis of intestinal permeability.
